As Zechman proves, workout doesn’t need to be an all-or-nothing at all pursuit. “Exercising for less than 10 minutes can reduce tension and boost energy,” says Dixie Stanforth, M.S., a lecturer in the division of kinesiology at the University of Texas at Austin and a spokesperson for the American Council on Workout.
Recent study backs up her state: A study released in the American Journal of Physiology discovered that 15 to 25 minutes of high-intensity biking just 3 x a week is really as good for your center as 40 to 60 minutes of moderate-strength biking five times weekly.
